| How damned typical |
|
As reported in Talon News:
The Talon article goes on to say that the web host server for Moore's website is also Canandian. Very much like the organization that, a few years ago, fought for an increase in a "living wage", and succeeded, and then promptly applied for an exemption, claiming that they couldn't continue to do their "good works" if they had to pay the increased wages. Only those gullible enough to believe that Moore is anything but a greedy con-man should be surprised at this duplicity. His rise to notoriety has been effected using the same "style" that many others have used, including Adolph Hitler... pretending to be outraged for those who are suffering, and providing them with someone to direct their hatred toward, with little regard for truth. With Hitler, it was pointing at Jews and other minority groups... with Moore, it has been pointing at gun-owners and corporations. With both, it is the "style" of a hate-monger, personally profiting from the creation of straw enemies. No, there is nothing wrong with Moore outsourcing his web design and hosting. If he believes he can get it done better or cheaper in Canada, more power to him. I don't care what his reasons were for outsourcing... it's his concern. What is patently pathetic and revealing is that he speaks out against others who do the same. Such "do as I say, not as I do" actions are so typical of many "liberal causes" that are really nothing more than campaigns to line the pockets of those running them. Their success depends on suckering support from those who are naive or desperate enough to believe. It's an elitist attitude that claims "I know best what is right for you", with the unadmitted disclaimer "but not for me". I suspect that Moore will claim ignorance, perhaps blame it on some employee and fire them... such is the typical response of an elitist to getting caught with their pants down. He might even take a clue from former, more experienced frauds and lay a claim that a right-wing conspiracy tricked him into it. That attitude is also the stock-in-trade of politicians, who become rich while "devoting their lives" to helping the unwashed masses... and who evade laws the rest of us must obey or suffer from. That Moore and I happen to both be oppossed to the War in Iraq disturbs me, and his anti-war stance should disturb all other peace-lovers too... because his opposition is no more than an opportunity to do some Bush-bashing, corporation-bashing, notoriety-gaining, liberal-sucking to further proclaim himself as a "rebel against the powerful". I can only hope that, having clearly been exposed as a two-faced fraud, Michael Moore will quietly disappear from view and that those who have been suckered by him will become more suspicious of other hate-mongers in the future. Americans have a terrible habit of annointing those people with fame in one area as minor gods, omniscience in all areas. Major media perpetrates such fraud by reporting on whatever famous people utter as "news". |
